About Me

Hello! My name is Andi Stringer, and I am a mother of two living in the beautiful region of Marlborough. New Zealand. I am a Certified Hypnobirthing Practitioner and Yoga Teacher who is deeply passionate about sharing my love of yoga and holding space for woman through pregnancy, birth and into motherhood. I have a degree in Occupational Therapy and bring this holistic approach to wellbeing with me through all avenues of life.

Yoga has been an important part of my life now for over 12 years. In 2013 I embarked on deepening my understanding of this ancient practice and went to India and completed my first 200-hour teacher training. Since then I have completed further teacher trainings and workshops in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, India and Bali. I have explored many different styles of yoga, and practiced with a vast variety of well-known teachers, helping me to find the style of teaching that really suits me. I’m down to earth, approachable and nurturing in the way that I teach and practice alongside students. Yoga keeps me anchored to what is important in life, guiding me to always try to show up with kindness, compassion, grace and respect. Yoga is a way of life that helps me to gain clarity in this fast-paced life that we live.

If you know me already, you get how passionate I am about pregnancy and childbirth. This came about after the birth of my first child Belle. Her birth was the turning point in my life, and after my experience, I wanted to make it my goal to hold space for other women; helping them on their own journey, to discover their strength and inner calm that we all have within us. I wholeheartedly believe that I had such beautiful birthing experiences for both my children because of the essential role hypnobirthing played. Although I am passionate about physiological birth, I teach the Positive Birth Program in a realistic way, which prepares women and partners for any turn that birth can take.

I am so honoured that I get to share the Positive Birth Program with women and their birthing partners. Pregnancy, birth and motherhood are incredibly sacred, intimate and transformative rites of passage. It’s a time that deserves devotion and embrace like no other. It is my passion to support you to be all that you are, however you envisage your birth to be, wherever you are on your journey.
